A Single component acrylic modified polymers based, pigmented with aluminium to provide glossy lustre appearance. Indoprotect 4490 metallic is a fast air drying finish coat and can be forced dry also at low bake temperature for faster turn around.
This product is recommended as topcoat over suitable Acrylic, PU or Epoxy primers for better aesthetics and corrosion resistance. Indoprotect 4490 is specialized developed coating to provide excellent durability. It is recommended as finish coat on sheet metal, steel structure etc in Casting & Forging Industries, Heavy Material Handling and other Heavy Equipments, Infrastructural, Electrical and General fabrication industries.

All surfaces to be coated should be clean, absolutely dry and oil or moisture free before painting application. Oil and grease should be removed by solvent cleaning. This product is suitable for use over phosphate washed steel.
Primed Surface : The primed surface should be dry and free from all contamination and Indoprotect 4490 Metallic finish should be applied within the overcoating intervals specified in primer TDS. Area of damaged primer or rework etc should be prepared as per specified standards, either by power tool cleaning or other means. It can be overcoated with clear coat for high gloss requirment.
Steel : Abrasive blast clean to a minimum of Sa2½ (ISO 8501-1:2007). Surface defects revealed by the blast cleaning process should be ground, filled, or treated in the appropriate manner. A surface profile of 30-40 microns is recommended.
