This is a one component oxidatively drying modified alkyd topcoat. It has a glossy finish with good gloss retention. To be used for areas of limited chemical exposure where a single pack finish coat is required.
Indoauto 4040 is specially developed for fast productivity and better durability than conventional alkyd based enamels. It is recommended to use as a cosmetic finish coat intended for both interior and exterior exposure. 4040 is recommended for Transportation, Infrastructural, Electrical, PEB structures, Agriculture Implements and General fabrication industries for protecting Concrete and Steel in internal areas or low corrosivity external environments.

All surfaces to be coated should be clean, absolutely dry and oil or moisture free before painting application. Oil and grease should be removed by solvent cleaning. This product is suitable for use over phosphate washed steel.
Primed Surface : The primed surface should be dry and free from all contamination and Indoauto 4040 should be applied within the overcoating intervals specified in primer TDS. Area of damaged primer or rework etc should be prepared as per specified standards, either by power tool cleaning or other means.
Steel : Abrasive blast clean to a minimum of Sa2½ (ISO 8501-1:2007). Surface defects revealed by the blast cleaning process should be ground, filled, or treated in the appropriate manner. A surface profile of 30-40 microns is recommended.
